Seeing a problem early is cheaper
than cleaning up after it

A large share of the problems people bring me would have been handled in-house if the owner or the team had seen them six months earlier. That is what the seminars are for. The topics are the same as in my consulting — but the role is different: there I do it for you, here I teach you to handle it yourselves, before things get hot.

Training

01

Finance for the executive

How to read your own accounts and see trouble before it becomes obvious.

  • What the balance sheet, P&L and cash-flow statement actually show — and why profit is not cash
  • The signs by which a crisis is often visible in advance
  • Five numbers to check weekly
02

Negotiating with creditors

A practicum: how to negotiate when you cannot pay and the relationship must survive.

  • Position and limits prepared before the conversation
  • What a creditor will accept and what they reject unread
  • Your own situations — in the corporate format; open seminars use anonymised cases
03

Disputes without court

How mediation works and in which conflicts it usually saves time and money.

  • Where mediation works and where it is useless
  • The mediation clause in contracts
  • How to behave as a party to the procedure
04

What a business buyer looks at

For owners thinking about a sale — now or in a couple of years.

  • Why the buyer counts from their profit, not yours
  • What lowers the value and how to fix it in advance
  • The questions they will ask and the documents they will request
05

Hiring that holds

For executives and in-house recruiters: how to stop hiring the wrong people.

  • Why the hire quits during probation and what it cost
  • Interviews: what to ask and what to hear in the answers
  • How to verify experience that is beautifully narrated
06

Custom programme

The corporate format — when you need a specific situation solved, not a stock topic.

  • The brief unpacked before the programme is written
  • Material built for your industry and audience level
  • From a two-hour seminar to a full course
How it works

I teach in person — on site or online. The programme is built for the specific audience, and we work on your cases, not textbook ones. Participants keep the materials.

The first meeting is a discussion of the brief: who the people are, what the task is, how much time there is. If the topic is not mine — I will say so at once and point you to the right person. Participants' materials are discussed anonymised and never leave the group.

Describe the audience and the task — I will propose a format and a programme for them.

Describe the task
in your own words

Write what is going on: you need a person, negotiations have stalled, you are weighing a move or a sale of the business, the cash flow does not add up. I will reply within one working day: what I can help with, how long it takes and the rough order of the price — or tell you straight if the task is not mine.

All messengers work on this number. Write by email or call — whichever suits you. The first conversation carries no obligations and no invoice: first we find out whether working together makes sense. There is no price list, because the price depends on scope, not on the service name; I give the order of magnitude in my first reply, before any work starts.

Follow. I write about the work, case breakdowns and what is going on around. Subscribe if you want to follow — for business, email or phone works better.
